Opening Reception

Join us for the Bringing Motown to Grand Rapids Opening Reception, September 11 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. Bringing Motown to Grand Rapids will feature a live band showcasing soulful renditions of beloved Motown classics.

Mobile One-Stop Center, Cyber Café

The Mobile One-Stop Center (MOC-1) will serve as a Cyber Cafe and be available to all attendees during the 2011 Michigan Works! for People Annual Conference.

The Cyber Cafe, sponsored by South Central Michigan Works!, will feature a number of desktop computers with an internet connection and printing capabilities. Attendees can check their email, browse the internet, or simply take a break!

 

Fun Walk

Start your mornings off on the right foot!

Join us Monday, September 12 and Tuesday, September 13, at 6:00am for a walk along the path that surrounds the grounds of the hotel.

Bottled water is provided and an exclusive prize drawing will be held each morning for walkers.

 

Yoga

Join us Monday, September 12 at 6:00am to prepare, center and energize yourself with a yoga practice aimed at total wellness through the fundamentals of yoga poses.

Learn how to breathe into the body and create a balance of effort and ease. Attendees will practice movements with increased body awareness to build strength, balance and flexibility.

Bottled water is provided and an exclusive prize drawing will be held for attendees.

Instructor:

Michele Fife has been a teacher of Yoga for over a decade, and is the owner and founder of Seva Yoga in East Grand Rapids, MI. Her passion is Yoga and she has studied with many leading authorities on the practice from around the world. In addition to teaching public classes, she is a certified Educator of Yoga and is the primary instructor at the Seva Yoga Teacher Training institute. Seva
Michele regularly leads international Yoga retreats, most recently returning from leading a retreat in Ubud Bali to open Michael Franti's new Soulshine retreat center.
She works with sports teams, high school athletes, cancer survivors and those seeking relief from injury or imbalance. Michele is a frequent guest on the local lifestyle show eightWest where she shares her love and knowledge of all things Yogic.
